These days, you don’t have to go far to find books, blogs, and TV shows telling older women what to wear. My focus is different; I am interested in what real American women over fifty have worn since the beginning of the twentieth century until today. I am hoping to document the whole country, in all of its geographic, racial, and ethnic diversity. You can help! Please send photos, with stories to go with them, to americanagefashion@gmail.com.

Ms. Mally – just listened to your message on “Love to Sew” Ep 115 podcast. Had to take a look! Love vintage fashion and am all about your project to document all diversity. I’ll have to search personal photos – my Mom was a fashionista in the 70s.
