What we wore

These days, you don’t have to go far to find books, blogs, and TV shows telling older women what to wear.  My focus is different; I am interested in what American women over fifty have worn since the beginning of the twentieth century until today.  Part of my research will be to see how older women have been represented in literature, advertising and film.  However, I am most interested in finding photos, drawings, and descriptions of real women in their real clothes.  Do you have family snapshots to share?  Please send them (with dates and place if possible) to americanagefashion@gmail.com
